Though it was not the first multi-tool, the Swiss Army knife is the most well-known. Since the late 1800s, the Victorinox company has been manufacturing the Swiss Army knife. The knife has its origins in a contract by the Swiss Army for a knife that would also include tools for opening canned goods and a screwdriver for disassembling the Schmidt-Rubin rifle used by Swiss Army personnel. Today, Swiss Army knives come in all shapes and sizes with an endless variety of tools and uses. With the red handles and trademark insignia, they are the world's most recognizable knife.
Now, Victorinox and Airstream have partnered to bring you the best of both brands with the official Airstream Victorinox Swiss Army knives. Available in two sizes and designs – Classic, which is small enough to go on a keychain and Spartan, which is shaped like an Airstream travel trailer – each knife comes with a variety of tools (but alas, no rivet gun).
