Bamboo is one of the world's most renewable resources. It grows extremely fast – some species can grow 3 feet per day – and it can be continuously harvested every three years without damaging the plant. In China, bamboo is used for everything from chopsticks to flooring. The Chinese bamboo industry produces a tremendous amount of sawdust, and for years Ekobo has turned that sawdust into simple and stunning dining, outdoor, and bath products. Their signature BIOBU® is a bamboo eco-composite that mixes ground bamboo sawdust with 100-percent non-toxic food-grade melamine binder. The result is an alternative to traditional plastics – strong, BPA-free, reusable products perfect at home or at the campsite.
Because Ekobo products are made with all natural bamboo and a melamine binder, they are not microwave-friendly.
