The locally sourced hardwood is available in six wood finishes and crafted in Ohio. This platform blends effortlessly into your interior—so it looks like it’s always been part of your Airstream. It's a simple way to personalize your space.
Installation, Your Way
We designed this with flexibility in mind, three solutions for you to pick the best fit
- Install using self-tapping screws for a permanent hold
- Use command strips for a non-invasive option
- Add hinges for easy under-bed access (sometimes the underbed storage area needs to be accessed on the curbside for maintenance)
Your two platform pieces are held together with dowels and half-moon connection bolts. These help the two halves line up together for a smooth finished appearance.

Installation is designed to be flexible, so you can choose the method that works best for your setup. Use self-tapping screws for a more permanent hold, opt for Command™ strips if you prefer a non-invasive approach, or add hinges—especially on the curbside—for easy access to the space beneath your platform.
Please note that no hardware is included, allowing you the freedom to install it your way.
Installation Instructions
- Prepare the Area: Remove the mattress and clean the area
- Mark the Frame Location: Using a pencil, lightly draw a line to indicate where the structural frame sits beneath the surface. (You’ll typically see existing screws along this line.) This ensures you’re fastening into solid structure and prevents screws from protruding underneath cabinetry.
- Add Increased Airflow Strips (Optional): Use double-sided tape to secure the included white strips, placing them across the surface as desired.
- Position the Platform: Set both pieces of the Twin Bed Mattress Support Platform in place and slide them together until aligned.
- Secure the Platform Pieces: Insert the bolt into the pre-drilled hole along the raised center edge between the two platform pieces and tighten.
- Fasten the Frame: Install the self-tapping screws along the pencil line you created. (The number of screws used can vary based on personal preference.) Note: If you prefer not to screw the platform down, you can get creative with alternative methods—such as heavy-duty adhesive strips or hinges—especially if you’d like to maintain easy access to the space beneath the platform.
- Finish Installation: Place your mattress back on top—the installation is complete.
