Please note that any custom color (everything except for black) will be final sale. These colors are special ordered and made just for you.

For any standard black padded cover, we're happy to process a return for a full refund for any un-used product within 60 days of the shipment date. Unfortunately, we cannot process requests for refunds or exchanges after this time period.

Protect your Airstream Basecamp Travel Trailer's rock guards with our custom-designed Airstream Padded Stone Guard Covers.

Easy to install and designed to remain in place while in motion, and can be easily removed at the campsite, these custom-made products help shield the rock guards of your Basecamp X from flying road debris.

This padded cover is 1/4" thick and made from 2 layers of the highest quality USA-made materials and sold in a set of 2 (one for each rock guard). All materials and fasteners are marine grade.

Exclusively available at Airstream Supply Company, our Padded Rock Guard Covers are compatible to fit just Basecamp X Travel Trailer models. 



No Hardware Required


Our custom-designed Padded Rock Guard Covers are lightweight and a 1/4-inch thick, with two layers of padded materials for excellent protection from road debris that can be kicked up by tow vehicle wheels. 

The covers are held securely in place with a strong elastic band that goes around the outside of the stone guards. A bungee style elastic band comes pre-tightened and runs in a pocket along the top and bottom of the cover. The marine-grade sail rope secures behind the stone guard hinges to help ensure the cover won't slip off while traveling.

Product Features

What material is the cover made of and how thick is it?

The cover is made from 2 layers of the highest quality marine grade fabric available.  It is ¼” thick.  This is much thicker than your typical vehicle “bra.”  The outer layer is Top Notch fabric, which is highly UV resistant, highly water resistant, highly abrasion resistant, and easy to clean.  It carries an 8 year warranty.  The back layer of fabric, facing the camper, is Boat Blanket.  It is a tough, yet soft, fabric that feels like the soft side of Velcro and will not scratch the windows or damage the finish of the trailer in any way.  The Boat Blanket acts as a padded shock absorber for flying debris.

Is the fabric water proof and UV resistant?

Yes!  The fabric is highly water resistant, so it will not soak up water or get heavy in the rain.  It is also highly UV resistant.  The outward facing fabric carries an 8 year warranty against sun damage.

Is it thick enough to protect the stone guards from damage due to road debris?

Yes!  This is the whole purpose of the cover. The dual layer design has a cushioning shock absorption effect to protect the stone guards from flying debris.

Can I get a color besides black?

The outer fabric also comes in dark gray, light gray, taupe, tan, red, burgundy, dark green, navy blue, and pacific blue.  Expect a longer turn-around time for your order (2-3 weeks) as these colors must be special ordered.  Contact customer service to request a different color or for a sample color swatch.

How should I clean the covers?

Use a hose with a nozzle attached, and a simple soap (like Dawn), and perhaps a scrub brush for stubborn stains.
